May with Gordon !

The beginning of summer is always refreshing. I believe it is the start of better health and good times spent outdoors with friends and loved ones. The West of Scotland where I live has its very own little micro-climate, which means that we often get sunshine or warmth when the weather forecast tells us otherwise. Our first week of May was delightful and bright. This meant I could relax into the new season.

It was the second week of the month when I flew off to my beloved Switzerland to run a workshop with many of the students who had attended earlier classes, which meant we were all very friendly and had a very fun week in the classroom. During this week I also got back on the platform, something I hadn’t done for some time.

So many mediums I have known have told me that when they have a long break from public mediumship that they worry that it will work again?  I have never really felt this, once maybe after the lockdown, but in general I totally trust our spirit friends will want to communicate when we open up that special space. It was a lovely evening of communication between the two worlds and many people received messages of hope and joy from their spirit family.

Job done in Switzerland, and it was time to head home to the gorgeous weather and tend my newly groomed garden. Something I missed so much with being out of my home was my garden. I spent a whole week just pottering around and grounding myself in my own reality again.

For me this also means spending precious time with my dogs, Lizzy and Cookie, who are my two youngest children lol.

In the third week of the month, I had a very welcome visit from my good friend Jacqui, and her friend Jackie, who stayed a few days at the wonderful Cameron House Hotel on the very beautiful Loch Lomond. During the girls’ stay, Jim and I were able to take them on different little excursions around the Loch and meet up and share good times with other friends, which all added up to fun, food and laughter. Oh! and maybe one or two glasses of bubbles.

Isn’t it funny how you only truly see where you live when you bring friends from other places. One such place was the oldest pub in Scotland, the Drovers Inn at the North end of the Loch; bubbles were had in this olde-world public house of fun!

Sunny days and friendship, a great way to think of the opening of the summer season. I believe that we can all feel a little younger and more carefree in the summer months. I also believe, as we progress through life that we must always take a moment to remember the gifts of summer and if we can, recall some of the fun and freedom we have experienced throughout our life.

Warm days reflecting on past events can be very healing for the soul, so go on and treat your soul to some fun filled walks down memory lane with a bubbly drink in your hand as you luxuriate.

Happy days my friends, happy days! Love G x
