Feb & March 2024 Newsletter

The month of February all but disappeared for me this year. The flu virus seemed to hang on forever and I had to up-sticks and move back home again. Boxes, bags and masses of “things” (which it turned out I didn’t need and would never use again), meant that I began a purge and anything that hadn’t been used in the past year could go to charity shops, dumps and to any who would lay claim to them!

It must have been in the early part of March when I could see over boxes and my house began to take on the shape of a home again!

I must say when that moment finally came, I truly felt that I was home again and though it looked modern and renewed, the old feelings of this old Victorian lodge began to re-emerge.

March has been a lovely month for me, not just because I got to live in my own home again, but because I had some time off work to bond with the place again. I enjoyed late mornings with nothing to rush for, walks with Lizzy and Cookie in the wonderful countryside nearby and painting under my gazebo with no thought for the weather around me!

Being home for me means creativity and freedom of mind and once again I am truly beginning to feel these things.

I’m told that many people enjoyed my appearance on the Flow-Summit in the early part of March, which make me glad because I enjoyed making those videos for you. I have only had a few Zoom classes this month and they were very uplifting as I got to do them from my new office, which I had built when the house was being renovated and I love it.

I am looking forward to getting back out into the world and teaching in Germany in April, it will be lovely to see all my old friends and hopefully meet some new ones too.

Easter led us from March into April this year and for me that meant a special Easter lunch with my Granddaughter, Katie-Rose at the very wonderful Loch Lomond, close to where I live.

Sometimes I believe that children are the truly wise in this world, for after a delicious lunch, my Granddaughter reminded me “Papa, don’t take life so seriously!”

I think I will use this as my new Mantra for the month to come.

I hope you had a good Easter for those who celebrated it and best wishes to all of you.

Love Gx
