July Newsletter

The month of July is special to me -

because it lands right in the middle of summer, and it is the month I was born!

For the past two months I have been able to remain at home in Bonnie Argyll, where I live and spend very valuable time with friends and family and my two gorgeous dogs Cookie and Lizzy.

The month began slowly with just myself and close family spending time together, which I loved; especially I enjoyed being with my granddaughter, Katie-Rose, when we visited the marvellous ‘Degas,’ exhibition at the Glasgow Burrell collection. I really like how she drinks in information and at the young age of seven was able to recognise the different mediums the artist had used in his incredible works.

Different friends I hadn’t seen for a while visited my home to see the improvements after our flood, which meant I had quite an open house during this month. I do like hosting people and enjoy catching up with their lives, as I am normally abroad so much and miss lots of these family and friend catch ups.

I also enjoyed several lunches with friends this month, something I hadn’t done for some time now. Old friends and new shared time in the fabulous restaurants of Glasgow, which was very good, especially when I got to share time with the young Scottish medium Dominic Boag, he really is a very nice young man and someone I would like to call a new friend.

Though much of my time was spent at home this month, I still conducted many online events with my academy students and other zoom courses I ran. Who would have thought that so much of what we do these days can be done from home and yet reach so many people from all over the world?

I have also enjoyed my time to paint this month and have completed several new works, which will inspire me to be creative when I return to live mediumship and teaching early in August.

All in all, it has been another month of rebuilding strength of both mind and body and sharing joy with those close to me. Now I am preparing to head off to many places to share my spiritual work again. The crazy mixed bag of weather we experience these days means we never truly know what we are going to get in that respect, but I get a good feeling for the next part of the year.

My advice for the rest of the summer is this. Grab the sunshine when you can, enjoy the lighter atmosphere which the season brings and most of all, try to honour the good things when you get them.

Best wishes

Gordon
