October with gordon
This month began with lots of hope regarding the reconstruction of my house, after our terrible flood at the end of last year. I was very excited to pick out the new kitchen and bathroom fittings, knowing that in a matter of weeks it would all be done and we would return to the lovely West Lodge. Sadly, this was not to be as the most horrible thing happened on the first Saturday of the month. Heavy rain swept across Scotland and sadly our house was flooded for the second time and most of the good work was destroyed and now will have to be redone.
This was not what I was expecting but with freak accidents in life we just have to get up and get on with things. I tell everyone that many, many things are much worse and that no one was harmed, so it really is onwards and upwards.
By the second week of October, I was preparing to head off to Switzerland to meet my good friend and fellow medium, James Van Praagh. This would be the beginning of our short tour together in Basel, Glasgow and Reading. Our start in Switzerland was amazing with great a wonderful workshop and demonstration of mediumship, which seemed to be appreciated by one and all.
During our time in this beautiful country, we also got some time to take in some incredible sights and even made an online video course at the Younity studios in Basel
It too was a moment to gather ourselves on the banks of Loch Lomond when we returned to the UK. Whilst in Glasgow, James and I gave a second demonstration of mediumship at the Glasgow Pavilion Theatre, which was very warmly received by our friendly audience. James had to shoot off to Dublin to continue his own tour, which meant I got a few days to rest and gather myself and get back to dealing with things at home.
Almost at the end of this month and it was time to fly again. This time my destination was London and then on to the Coppid Beach hotel to finish the tour with James. This is now my third year of holding seminars at this venue and it really is a pleasure because so many really nice, genuine people join us there and make the weekend such a pleasure. The end of October and the beginning of November has always been a special time for me, and not because of Halloween. This is what I call a ‘thin time.’ It is the time when two seasons meet and change will surely follow.
I like change, it is truly the one thing we know will happen in this life.
