gordon’s March Newsletter

The early part of March brought lots of Zoom courses for me, including working with my old friends Sandra O’Neil and James Van Praagh. It is always a pleasure to share this zoom-time with people, mostly because I get to connect with people from all over the world.

It was the second week of the month that saw me and five friends take to the sky and head for the incredibly exciting Miami.

Here we spent a couple of days in America’s sunshine state and enjoyed every second of it, especially the vibrant buzz of Ocean Drive, with all the young people having the best time, dancing and singing in the street.

We even got involved when the most amazing surprise saw Nile Rogers and Chic, play live in the street right across from the restaurant where we sat and enjoyed a fabulous dinner

As if that wasn’t enough, we were soon getting ready to board a wonderful cruise ship that was preparing to take us around some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.  If I were to describe our trip in more words, I’m afraid I would run out of adjectives. Suffice to say, it was a truly magical adventure where everyone had the best time. It was a very much needed holiday and one I honestly won’t forget.

Coming back to my new home didn’t feel strange at all. I think that I have settled here because of the beauty of the place. I must admit that the day after returning from holiday I walked through the hills beside my house and looked at some of the incredible views and breath-taking scenery, which more than equalled the sights of the Caribbean Islands, in a very different way. Walking in the hills in bonnie Argyll, has a very profound effect on my mind, it grounds me in nature and reality very quickly, so it felt like I was really back down to earth with a bang.

This month has been a real holiday for me, not only because of my cruise but also as I have spent the rest of the month at home doing nothing much except walk with the dogs and paint the wonderous landscape of the place I live in, which I must tell you, makes me feel a sense of peace and oneness with the land I live in.

This has been a month of being with friends and enjoying life to the full, also a time for reflection and finding balance after a very turbulent start to the year. Now it feels like I am ready to take on April, which I always see as a time for opening up. I think of the stunning blossoms and the buds on the trees reminding me that something truly wonderful is about to begin.

I hope you all have a great month and very happy Easter time. Please take time to look at nature this month as she reminds us that everything lives again.

Best wishes G x
