gordon’s february Newsletter
The last day of February makes me think that we are already moving into this year at a great pace. It’s amazing what we can accomplish in such a short time and how much can change because of how we feel inside.
It was before I moved to London around 2006 that I stayed in a cottage on the other side of this beautiful place for about two years and suddenly I found myself asking why I ever left such a beautiful place? But, just like that, it all came back to me. Back then my life changed when I had several books on the go with my publisher, Hay House. It made me smile as I walked with my two spaniels, recalling that back in 2006 I also combed this small beach with another two spaniels then, Cheeky Charley and Lady Megan of Kilcregan. In that moment it felt like I’d gone back in time, and it made me look at all the many things that had happened between then and now, which brought me right back to where I was seventeen years ago!
I know now that the flood I experienced carried me back to a place to find peace and quiet in a place where I find it easy to renew my energy and just like the first time I was brought to this special place, it was just before big changes were about to happen.
I offer my gratitude to all my Swiss students who attended another of my seminars in Basel this month and for all their kind thoughts and healing and just for being really good and easy to work with.
Now I get ready to march into March and look forward to a great holiday in the Caribbean with a group of good friends, where we will forget about the world for a while and take in the magic of some very special places and experiences. (Watch this space!)
I hope you all find time to renew and rebuild this coming month and prepare for better things to come.
It reminds me of the old monk when asked by his student. “Master, why do we meditate?” The master looked at him and spoke. “We meditate to prepare.” The young student pondered for a moment and added. “To prepare for what master?” Now with a smile on his face the old monk concluded. “To prepare for whatever.”
